A Note from the Principal Dear Thorson Families, Tomorrow we will have our October all-school Jaguar Jumpstart in the gym. We start promptly at the start of the school day, so please be sure your child is on time to school! Students and staff are invited and encouraged to wear Thorson spiritwear or school colors tomorrow. We are excited to welcome special guests Mel and Ross from Mel’s Charities to our Jaguar Jumpstart tomorrow. They will speak to our students about our October character traits of tolerance and acceptance. Due to the weather forecast for tomorrow, the Thorson Green Squad Stewardship Day has been rescheduled to Monday, October 16. All students and staff are invited and encouraged to wear green to school on Monday. Please be sure to send your child to school with long pants, long sleeves, closed toe shoes or boots, and optional garden gloves on Monday. Veteran’s Day is quickly approaching. We love our Veterans and are excited to participate in a Veterans Day car parade in partnership with other CSD schools! More information about this exciting parade and other activities related to Veterans’ Day is included in this Thursday folder. Please check it out! Next Friday, October 20, there is NO SCHOOL for students. This is a professional development day for Cedarburg School District staff. Mark your calendars! Our annual pumpkin days event is coming up soon. Have fun decorating an uncarved pumpkin with your child to be displayed in our IMC. See here for more details. Also, our annual Halloween Parade will be held on Friday, October 27 at 3:15 p.m. Details on the parade route and where to watch the parade will be in our Weekly Notes next Thursday! Veteran's Day Celebration
On Friday, November 10, 2023, we will celebrate Veterans Day by having a special car procession past all three of our CSD elementary schools and the High School. If your child has a Veteran who would like to join us in the special procession, please fill out this form. More details are also included. Picture Retake Day Information
November 1st is picture retake day! Please return the original packet of photos to the photographer on retake day in order to receive a replacement photo package. Retake day orders will be sent to Thorson within 2-3 weeks. Thorson Green Squad
On Monday, October 16th, each classroom will have the opportunity to come out and help clean up our school forest and mulch our trails. We encourage all students to wear green on that Friday.
