VIP

 Very Important Person 

Every student will have an opportunity to be the "VIP" of the week.  When it is your child's week, we will send home the materials on the previous Thursday.  Please sit down with your child and help him/her complete the questions on the paw poster.  They may decorate the star any way they choose.  We will follow this schedule for the week:

Monday:  Your child may bring in the V.I.P poster along with any photos he/she would like displayed.  They will be hung on a special wall for the week.

Tuesday:  Bring in a favorite toy or stuffed animal in a bag to share with the class.  Please write 3 clues to describe the item - the class will have fun guessing what is in the bag!

Wednesday: Return the Estimating Jar filled with a particular item (ie. markers, bouncy balls, race cars, etc.).  A note will be inside the jar explaining the number range we are working on that week (ie. 1-20).  The class will practice their estimating skills and the items will be returned. 
Thursday:  Send us a video of a special guest reader reading a story to our class...or, send your child's favorite story to school and we will read it to the class!

Friday:  Return the Rhyming Bag. (Child puts something in the rhyming bag and the class tries to guess what is inside by the rhyming clues.)
