A Note from the Principal
Dear Thorson Families,
Tomorrow will be an exciting day at Thorson! We are starting off the day with our monthly in-person Jaguar Jumpstart. The 4th grade choir will be performing a special patriotic song for us as we celebrate Veterans Day. Then, we will head outside for our Veterans Day car procession. Students and staff are encouraged to wear red, white and blue and students will be provided with a flag to wave in the parade. Please be sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather!
Your child’s first quarter progress report has been posted in Skyward. Please see the directions in the Thursday Folder email for how to access it. Please review your child’s report at your earliest convenience!
This weekend is the Cedarburg Education Foundation’s Bulldog Gala fundraising event. Even if you are not attending the event, you can bid on the wonderful auction items. One of the popular items is always the Principal for the Half Day, which is provided by each elementary school principal. The students are always asking me how they can get to be the principal! The first chance for that is this weekend. See the information below for more details!
Next week is our first Parent/Teacher conference date. Conferences are being held in-person on November 16 and November 20th from 4:00-7:30 p.m. If you have not signed up yet, please do so as the conference scheduler will be closing on Monday morning (11/13). Here is the information regarding conferences and how to sign up!
Looking into next week, our next PTO meeting is Monday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m. Additionally, next Tuesday, November 14, we will be celebrating World Diabetes Day. Staff and students are encouraged to wear blue on Monday to show support for people with diabetes. Finally, our annual PTO Scholastic Book Fair starts next week. See information below about when the book fair will be open.
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Angela Little, Principal
Scott May, Assistant Principal

ANNIE KIDS (A Musical in 5 Days!)
For the first time this fall, the Cedarburg Performing Arts Center (CPAC) is hosting a Children's Theater Intensive Mini-Camp through Ozaukee Talent for ages 6-12. Auditions will be held at the CPAC on Saturday, November 18 at 10 a.m. sharp and everyone will get a role. On Friday, December 8 at 5:30 p.m., the children will perform the musical that they have learned for family, friends, and the general public in the CPAC theatre. Rehearsals will be held at the CPAC from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on November 18, 19, 25, 26, December 2 (optional) and December 3. Children will receive 30+ hours of performing arts instruction. The children are encouraged to bring lunch and a snack. Children who aren't able to attend the audition and five rehearsals but still desire to be a part of the ensemble can register for just one half-day. Parents will drop their children off at the CPAC right after the district's early release day on December 8. The kids will gain instruction on how they can be a part of the fun, wonderful holiday show that same night at 5:30 p.m. for their parents, family, and friends.
Please find more information on our website www.cpackids.com and register for either the main cast by November 17 at 5 p.m. or the half-day ensemble cast by December 5 at 5 p.m.
