A Note from the PrincipalDear Thorson Families, I hope that all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. It was great to see all of you at Parent/Teacher conferences before Thanksgiving. We are excited to continue our work with all of you as the year goes on. For the month of December, we are working on the character trait of kindness. We kicked off our work with this character trait at our all-school Jaguar Jumpstart this morning. We are challenging students to show kindness in both big and small ways, including participating in our annual Kapco Kids 2 Kids Toy Drive, which is being led by our Thorson Student Council. New and unwrapped toys can be brought in through December 7. Thank you for your consideration of supporting this great cause. With tomorrow being our first day in December, we are kicking off our December themed Fridays. Tomorrow is Snowman/Whiteout Day. Students are encouraged to dress like a snowman or wear white. Next Friday is flannel day! Looking ahead, next Friday (12/8) is an Early Release day. All K5-5th Grade Students will be dismissed at 1:45 on this day! The 4K schedule on Early Release Days is 8:50-10:35 for the morning session and 12:00-1:45 for the afternoon session. Also, our next PTO meeting is Monday, December 11. Please note that the time of this meeting has been changed to 5:00 p.m. Please make a note of this and plan to join us! Have a great weekend!
