A Note from the Principal Dear Thorson Families, We are looking forward to meeting with you for parent/teacher conferences tonight and next Monday. Please be aware that most of the teachers are booked solid on the conference evenings. They will have to stick to a strict schedule in order to accommodate all families, so please make sure to be on time for your appointment. If you are unable to attend the conference you scheduled, please let the teacher know as soon as possible. Thank you in advance to all the PTO volunteers who donated and helped coordinate meals for our staff on conference nights! It really helps on these long days and busy nights! Don’t forget to start your holiday shopping at the book fair. The book fair is running through Monday evening on November 20. We have a great selection of books that are sure to make great gifts for your family and friends. The Book Fair is open during both conference nights, before school from 8:15-8:40, after school from 3:35 until 4:30, and students may shop during their lunch recess time tomorrow (11/17) if they bring money. To maximize learning, it is necessary that students are in attendance throughout the school day. Our hope is to work proactively with parents to positively impact student attendance, and subsequently, their achievement. We have updated our attendance policy and procedures for this year. Here is our new Attendance Frequently Asked Questions document to help guide families regarding student absences. Thank you for attending to this information and for working with us to ensure success for your child. There is no school next week Wednesday through Friday as we celebrate Thanksgiving. We are thankful for all in our Thorson and Cedarburg community for your support and partnership. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving break!
